Registration and scrutineering will take place between 7:30 and 8:00am. Briefings will commence at 8:30am with riders going off in group intervals after this time. We expect the ride will be completed by around 4:00pm.
The ride will leave form the Gapsted Recreation Reserve, Gapsted; VIC 3737, the property is approximately 8.5Km’s from Myrtleford heading towards Wangaratta on the Great Alpine Road (North Westerly direction from Myrtleford). Signs and Markers will be in place on the day.
Yes you do! All entrants must hold a current motorcycle licence and have a registered bike, Recreational Registration is acceptable. You will need to bring your licence and proof of registration which rally organisers will hold until the end of the day.
The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning have advised us that they will be at the rally. Exhaust noise limit is set at: 94 dB(A) as per Motorcycling Australia Enduro General Competition Rules. Keeping exhaust noise down is an important part of maintaining community support for the rally. Please respect rally organisers and the local community by making sure your bike has a quiet exhaust. Bikes with modified or aftermarket exhausts will be noise tested at scrutineering. All bikes will need to be in a roadworthy and safe condition.
Hell yeah! Any bike that has not got both a head and tail light on it will not be participating in the event. It is a requirement of the landowner and permit conditions - no exceptions will be made.
No. Tear offs are not permitted so don’t bring them. Toughen up! Kick in the bum stuff if we find out!
You’ll probably get wet. But we’ll still be there and will encourage riders to take extra caution.
In the event of postponement (i.e. due to severe extreme weather) the Myrtleford Alpine Rally will organise an alternate date, at the next earliest practical time, subject to the availability of the site from landowners and registration money will be carried forward
No. Camping is available from one of the local Caravan Parks in Myrtleford. No camping is allowed in the forest or along (adjacent) to pine plantations.
For those attending the Myrtleford Alpine Rally that would prefer a greater level of comfort, a range of accommodation places are available in Myrtleford and surrounding towns.
We’ll be offering a cooked breakfast from 7am. The breakfast costs around $7 and you can pay when you register or on the day as long as you let us know by email.
Please email and we’ll make sure there is something suitable for you on the day.
Food, meals and snacks can be purchased onsite from the food vendors present. You may also bring your own food and drink but please note that absolutely no glass is permitted. Drinking water will also be provided
Yes toilets facilities are available. Please leave toilets as you would like to find them for the comfort of all participants. Toilets will not be serviced so damage/blockages will reduce the number available for all attendees.
Absolutely! Please note that due to the high volume of vehicle traffic – the area is hazardous for children. Any underage children should be closely accompanied at all times. Please leave your furry friends at home as no pets are allowed at the event.

The funds raised on your fundraising page will go to Make-A-Wish Australia. Donations will also be made to local community and services groups from profits made on the day.
Every donation over $2 is tax deductible. Supporters who donate online will automatically receive a tax deductible receipt at the end of financial year from Grassrootz.
